Still working on some 12 channel consoles.
Now with more metalwork drawn up… it almost looks like I know what I’m doing.
Cleaning up garage and I found a real blast from my past. This was the first mixer I ever bought, if I looked hard enough I think I could find the invoice…. This is a british – Star Sound Dynamix 216. I saved up for months delivering a 180 news paper route.
I was 12 when I bought it and probably 14 when I made the case. It’s worth nothing, but it’s impossible for me to let it go! When I got it there were missing knobs so I painted them. I did many shows and MANY recordings with it. A classic piece of crap, but without it I’d not be who I am now.

I recently saved this Neve desk from imminent scrapping. I needed a work surface while designing something and it was perfect.

It’s now got a new purpose at my home office. Its a little weird in terms of rack screws and such.

The wieght of the steel rack weighs its do to apear floating

Here are some pictures of Neves with the side desk attached. I’m still on the hunt for a picture of the desk this originally came from.
I show up to work and there’s a new console. It’s amazing how fast things can change when you look away for a few days.
Not the biggest proponent of digital desks, but this desk vs the M7CL it replaced is a HUGE improvement in sound quality. Now only if someone did a touchscreen Mod and software upgrade…
I’m moving a few things around and I must still ADMIRE the work of Ben and the Gang at eBrands
by far the coolest thing I’ve ever been a part of Click here to Launch the mixer
A good friend in Saskatoon just finished recording their latest record.
